Sue has been involved with fiber art in one form or another for over 35 years. She was introduced to traditional wet felting in 2010 and has worked with well-known national & international felt artists, including Gladys Paulus,
Nancy Ballesteros, Martien van Zuilen, Nicola Brown &
Dawn Edwards.
Felt making allows Sue to express herself with a tactile, malleable material whose innate characteristics grant a multitude of possibilities. Her latest work has focused on pieces that draw inspiration from the organic shapes found in nature or those that provide commentary on current political affairs.

In addition to her felt work, Sue has been printing with foliage for the past seven years. The botanical medium printing process allows her to incorporate natural elements directly on to the surface of her felt and silk pieces.

Over the past decade, she has had her artwork juried into and recognized at many exhibitions across the United States, as well as included in a number of publications.

Sue’s work can currently be seen at the Muskegon Museum of Art gallery shop and the Lansing Art Gallery.
